Every Labor Day weekend my family spends an evening at the cabins in Heber Valley. My parents are still on missions but this is a tradition that has still continued on with us siblings. We made the decision to go up for the evening but to not stay overnight. It was a smart choice for our family. Hudson is sick and teething and the biggest reason for us not staying is that he does not sleep through the night still. He's an adorable baby but he's a horrible sleeper. Sorry Hudson but it's true. In his defense though he has spent the majority of his life being sick. This poor kid cannot catch a break. He is constantly sick with something and now he's working on his second tooth so that's no fun. Even though he's usually sick I'm still so impressed with how happy he still can be. Smiles come easily to him and he knows exactly how to brighten my spirit. Anyway I'm kind of rambling now about him (which is not hard to do). We stopped at a cute little burger and shake place in Heber for dinner on our way to the cabin and the food was delicious. We got to the cabins just as Pollyanna and Rick were pulling up. Jacob had already been there for a couple of hours with Braden, Katelyn, Nikki and Serenity. He was happy to see other adults show up. Addie loved the cabins and being outside. She loves anything to do with nature and played with Aria all night. It started to get a little chilly so eventually we moved inside the cabins so Hudson can be out of the cold until it was time for us to head home. Addie and Aria are best friends and it's always fun watching them interact. I don't know how long this tradition will continue on but I'm glad we still went this year.
