Our new place is super close to the formerly known water park - Seven Peaks. It has new ownership and is now known as Summit Splash. Every time we drive by it the kids ask if we can go there so I told them that once we were all settled and unpacked that we would have a family day there. The day came and it turned out to be a lot of fun. We invited Jill and her kids and in turn she also brought Marie and Jayden. It still turned out great though and the extra hands was nice. Addie had no trouble feeling comfortable and she didn't hesitate at all to jump right in. Grant also was the same way. It turns out that he's even more of a daredevil than we anticipated. He wasn't a fan of his floaties and wanted to just swim as if he knew how. He didn't want to hold any hands or be refrained. Even with him going under the water a few times he still tried to swim as if he were a pro. Finally he accepted the fact that he would have to wear some floaties but he didn't let that take all the fun away and he still had a blast. Hudson was our little cautious one. It took him a little while before he would even get in water that went above his ankles. He needed to observe before feeling confident enough but once he got to that point he also turned into a boy full of smiles. By the end of our outing his hair was still completely dry but that's okay. I remember Addie also being very scared of the pool some years back and now look at her. Danny and I decided that we're going to try to get all three kids into swim lessons this winter so that next summer we can feel better about each of their differing levels. I'm glad we were able to make this day happen. It was a nice way to end our summer before we get ready to start school up again.
