We took the plunge and switched the girls around with new car seats. They have been in their infant seats and needed new car seats for a while now. We had planned on buying them new ones before we even left Utah but couldn't because of finances. We finally reached the point where we needed to get them new ones but it was a struggle trying to find ones that would work in our car with five kids who all have a seat of some sort. The only way to fit two car seats side by side were ones facing forward so the girls are now seeing a whole new world when we drive around. We switched Grant's seat to the back, put Hudson in a booster, and switched Addie to the middle so that she could help us out with the girls and also help with sliding the seat forward for the boys to get to the back. This is also the best way to navigate our new school pickup situation because we need to quickly get three kids into their spots as fast as possible so that the line can move smoothly. So far everyone likes their new arrangements. Hopefully it continues to work out because it felt like solving a complicated puzzle until we got to the layout that we finished on.
