Playing a little big of catch up here. The fourth of July was our last full day in Texas before we left. By then practically everything we owned was in the moving truck that we got the day before beside our mattresses that we left out so that we could have something to lay on at night. Our fourth was a great way to end our time in New Braunfels. We started out the day with our traditional 4th of July group picture in their festive clothes and then after some last minute house cleaning we got the kids in their swimsuits and headed to our pool. Danny stayed behind to get more cleaning done because let's face it we can get a whole lot more done when the kids aren't home. It was a win win situation for all.
While at the pool I called Jeanne and asked if she wanted to join us for a little bit so she then showed up with Rylynn. We had dinner reservations at Lisa Tea's house with the Johnson family and the Wildungs so we couldn't stay too long but we did get a couple of hours in before we had to leave. Luckily it was a water party barbecue so the kids were able to stay in the swim clothes which saved us some time. I brought their clothes for when they were done playing in the water at Lisa's house. We're so lucky we got to spend this time with these friends who have become really close to us over the last two years.
Danny had to leave after dinner because his parents flew in and needed a ride from the airport. So while he left for Austin I stayed behind with the kids for some fireworks and poppers before heading back home for showers and bed.
Lisa is a great host.
We spent our first Texas 4th of July with her as well.

I'm going to miss watching these two play another season of soccer. It would have been their fourth season together.
And I'm going to miss watching their friendship grow. They got to be in the same kindergarten class which I'm sure was fun for their teacher.
