Sadly this might be our last waterpark play before our Texas time is up but we at least made the best of it. It was such a fun day.
Poor Grant is so obsessed with waterslides. He has been for over a year now and talking about riding the Taumata Racer was all he did leading up to today, so when he saw that he was still short to be able to ride the ride he was devastated. He was so sad. It crushed him to watch his older siblings try out the ride without him but even though I knew he was hurting inside he still handled this all very well. He was pouting but he was keeping in control of his emotions and wasn't freaking out. I felt bad for him and was also proud of him.
Addie and Hudson both loved the ride and wanted to try again but we said we could go back after swimming in the pools for awhile. Eventually we did go back to the ride and Grant was wearing his sandals when Danny noticed that with his sandals on he was just tall enough. I'm sure you can guess what happened next.
Not only did he get to ride it but he rode it twice. He was one happy boy.
We did so much swimming and playing that by the end these two little ones were so tired. I laid them down next to each other and told them they could close their eyes. I didn't actually think they would fall asleep but within minutes they were sound asleep. We ended taking their towels off because it was so hot and we could just see them sweating in their sleep. While they slept we went and watched the dolphins at Discovery Cove before leaving for the evening.
Just look at these little angels.
While we were walking Addie's feet started to hurt so Hudson offered to switch shoes with her. This act of kindness melted my heart. Seriously what a sweet boy to do that for his sister.
