Addie's Family Portrait Session

We've had family pictures scheduled for weeks now and when the time came for everyone to get in the car to leave for our session we found out our car wouldn't start. I was trying so hard not to panic as I was going from door to door asking our neighbors for portable jumper cables. Because of how our van was positioned in the garage we weren't able to use normal cables unless they were super long to reach the front of the van. And since our van is electric we couldn't turn it on to put it into neutral so that we could push the van back in order to have another car reach it. I finally got a hold of a friend from church who had some portable ones and said they would be on their way to help us out. While all of this was happening Addie took the kids to the backyard and took her own pictures as a way to cheer me up. I had no idea she was doing this but she could tell I was near tears as I was trying to figure this out. Thankfully we were the last session for our photographer and she was willing to wait as we got out car troubles figured out. In the end it all worked out. I just felt so loved and grateful for what Addie was doing during that moment of internal panic for me. She's a sweetheart.
