I didn't get a picture or a video of the April Fool's joke I pulled on the kids and I wish I had. I tried it out on Grant first by screaming for his help. I was in my room with my hands over a box and I told him that there was a mouse inside it and I needed his help. I told him that I needed him to wack the mouse with a shoe when I released the box. He was so worried but also so willing to help me even though he was terrified. I was quite proud of how brave he was. I counted to three and when I picked up the box he threw his shoe at the mouse . . . and then laughed so hard because it wasn't the mouse he was expecting. It was a computer mouse. He laughed even harder when I told him it was April Fool's day and immediately wanted me to do it to the others. We both tried it on Hudson and the twins next. I was surprised that Hudson also was willing to use his shoe to help us. The twins kind of stood back and watched. Addie happened to walk up because she was hearing our screaming so she saw the trick as it was being done with the others or she would've been our next victim. The kids all thought it was so funny and couldn't wait until Danny came home from work. Hudson was too eager to try it so he did it to his friend who came to our house but it was right when Danny walked in so we weren't able to carry out our joke on him since he saw Hudson doing it right before.
About an hour later I called Grant up and asked him what he had done to the bathroom since he was the last to use it. He came up with all the kids plus the neighbor kid as I asked why the toilet was smoking. They were so confused until they looked in the bathroom. I think I'm a fan of these silly and harmless pranks and apparently so are they.
