Easter & General Conference Weekend

Easter weekend fell on general conference weekend this year which was kind of nice. Danny was supposed to fly out for an in person interview at Penn State but because of all the snow that has been falling lately his interview was postponed until later this month. I'm a bit relieved because I didn't want him to miss out on our easter basket hunt Saturday morning. Which I didn't get any pictures at all of that because we happened to have a rough night the night before and felt so exhausted that morning that the kids all searched and found theirs while we were still trying to wake up for the day. We did eventually give clues to Addie and Hudson because we hid their baskets very very well.

We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and turned on the first session of general conference while heavy snow was falling down outside. By the time the afternoon session was on the snow had stopped and both Danny and I felt like we just needed to get outside to help clear our heads from some stress that life is throwing our way.

It started by Danny going out and shoveling the driveway.
Four of the kids were next to join him.
I told Danny he should help build a bunny snowman for Easter and this was their creation.
Crazy boys.
We ended out Saturday evening dying eggs.
We started our Sunday morning with our traditional empty tomb rolls and started the first session of general conference.
The kids all agreed that this cuddle moment needed to be captured.
We had invited the Aldrich family to join us for the evening session and for dinner so before they came over we snuck in our own little Easter egg hunt since we hadn't done that yet. I didn't get any pictures of dinner with them but we made our sausage dip and had it over rice and chips which was great because even picky kids like this meal.
The only picture I got of our evening with them were these blurry dance party that we did with the glow sticks the kids got from watching general conference. All in all it was a great weekend. I'm glad Danny was able to be here for it all.
