Tulip Festival

The Tulip Festival happens every year and it's only a twenty minute drive away from our home so we decided that this year we were finally going to check it out. I liked it a lot and the kids did too but boy was it a hot day! Too hot in our opinions. We stayed for maybe two hours and still didn't get to see everything. The kids had their new Easter rainboots on for part of the time and we got so many comments on how cute they were in them. We eventually took Hudson's off because he was running everywhere and his shoes are better for when he wants to run. I also got a couple pictures of Addie in her cute raincoat but I didn't let her wear it long because the sun was pretty hot. The only reason she wore it was because we found a cool shaded tunnel. Everyone thought she was pretty cute though. :)
Danny and I both have dark brown eyes, then there's this girl with green. :)

Sick Girl

Addie has been our healthy little girl. The last time she threw up was when she was a baby so when she got sick last night with a little stomach bug I think it freaked her out a little. She was scared and didn't know what to think of it. Poor girl went to bed and the last thing she said was that her tummy hurt. She's never said that before and our first thought was that she was saying it because she wanted some medicine since Hudson got some for his teething pain. Turned out her tummy really did hurt. She woke up covered in throw up and was so lethargic. It took everything for her not to doze off while Danny was cleaning her up in the bath. We had her sleep on a mattress in our bedroom last night where she got sick a couple more times. Each time she got sick she wanted to go right back to sleep but had to wait for us to get her bed ready again. We felt so bad for her. This was a whole new experience since Hudson has always been the unhealthy one and not her. Luckily it seems that this little bug she caught was short lived because she woke up feeling more like herself despite not getting a full night's rest last night. Goodness I love this girl of mine and wish her nothing but happiness and health.

Minivan Club

It's official. After today we are officially a minivan family. We decided to go for it and we bought ourselves a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country. Our plan is to have it paid in full as fast as we can so we can go back to having no car payments and for now we are happy with the decision. As an almost family of five with soon to be three kids in three car seats we really didn't have an option and needed to upgrade to a bigger vehicle. This van came with all the bells and whistles - leather seats, back up camera, DVD player, remote controlled doors, and stow and go storage. We're quite happy with it. It would have been perfect for our trip to Vernal this week but now we have even more reason to look forward to road trips. :)
This was last night when we started the paperwork. We had just returned that day from our trip to Vernal. The kids loved this car in their lobby.
We couldn't complete all of the paperwork so we returned again this morning to finish the process. The van is now ours. :)
One last picture before we trade in Daddy's car for our new ride.
