Schlitterbahn New Braunfels

When we first found out we were moving to Texas I researched things to do in New Braunfels, Texas because I had never heard of it before. One of the first things to pop up was the Schlitterbahn water park. It was rated as the #1 waterpark in the USA. Because of our family pass to Aquatica we never felt the need to go to Schlitterbahn even though it's right in our town. It can also be quite pricey and that's hard to stomach when you can go for free to the SeaWorld waterpark. Well this year the kids's school did a reading program where if they read so many hours in a certain amount of time they would get free admission tickets to the waterpark. The kids were so excited and all three completed it. We only had to pay for ourselves and the twins (and even that was pricey). Thank goodness for three free tickets. We had a really great time and we didn't even see half of the place.

After lunch I put my phone away and we swam for hours...
Then the rain started. We waited almost an hour before deciding to leave the park.
It was still such a great day, rain and all.

There were some moments during the drive home that got a little intense. There was so much water on these roads.
