We now have one less kid in diapers and it was all because of him. Hudson has always been a self driven kid. I should have known that when he sleep trained himself at five months old. I remember wanting to rock him and all he wanted was to be put in his crib so that he could put himself to sleep. Well he woke up one morning and told me that he wasn't going to wear diapers anymore and that big boys wear Spider Man underwear. Only problem was that we didn't own Spider Man underwear so he settled for some dinosaur underwear until we could go to the store later that day. Luckily Target did have some in stock and that made Hudson one happy boy. The first two days he had little accidents but they all happened as he would be running to the bathroom. He just didn't get there fast enough but he would still always finish in the potty. A couple of leaks from him was all that happened. He was serious about not being in diapers anymore. As a reward for him he got some new cars and a new Spider Man toy. It's been a week and I can confidently say he's officially potty trained. I'm so proud of him. The timing was all up to him because I was purposely not even going to think about potty training until he turned three but he decided he didn't want to wait so we went off of his timeline and it worked. Hudson you never cease to amaze me.

Salina Getaway
This year we went on a spontaneous little family getaway and went straight from our Rueckert family party so when we arrived at our destination we got out of the car looking like the Incredibles. It was pretty humorous. We didn't decide on going until late the night before. Danny's professor (Jamie) rented out an entire trampoline place as an AirBNB in Salina, Utah. She invited our family but Danny didn't give her an answer right away. He wasn't sure he wanted to go and I was okay with whatever he decided. But when he said the morning of that we should go I threw all of our stuff together and had it ready by the door.
We first had pre-made plans with my family's Halloween party and we all know I wasn't going to miss that but once we left the party we drove straight to Salina. I'm so glad we went. I think it's going to be in one of my top five favorite memories for 2019. The kids did so incredibly well for the drive and loved everything about the place that we stayed at. Salina is a little town and one that I honestly had never even heard of before but the AirBNB was so much fun. It was also the first time that I really got to know Jamie and she got to know us. It was just our two families and such a good bonding experience. Have I already mentioned that I'm really glad we went? Because I'm really glad we went.☺️
Jamie's family also challenged us to an obstacle course relay where we timed ourselves. Danny won. I was hesitate to do it but they talked me into it and it was a lot of fun. I didn't even come close to winning but it sure was fun. Hudson got so into it. He did it at least three times and wanted every turn to be his turn. He was so cute about it and the look on his face was of pure determination. I got it on video which I'll post below. I actually got all of ours on video except for Addie, which I'm sad about. She was the first person to even try it and I thought I was recording the whole time but it turns out had never actually started it. So I was following her around with the camera only to realize much later that I didn't actually record anything. We tell her she was the fastest though and she didn't seem to mind as much as I did about the recording mistake.

The Incredibles
Last year I gave a hint as to what our costume theme for this year would be. Here's a direct quote from my Halloween post 2018.
"No pictures of Grant because he stayed nice and warm the whole time bundled up in his car seat. He also slept through the whole thing. I can't wait for next year when I'll have three little kids running up to each door for treats. Also they're going to look Incredible."
That's right, I already knew that we would be the Incredibles. What's even more crazy was that we had already got two of our five costumes before we even had last year's Halloween. For Addie's birthday she got the Violet costume from her Grandma Ferguson because she already knew what our theme would be and decided to help us out. She even bought the Dash costume for Hudson just for fun. Addie was on a Violet obsession and insisted that everyone call her Violet instead of Addie. She even requested that her name be changed by her primary leaders. It was pretty cute. She's also the one who chose the family theme and even though it was more than a year away she never lost her excitement for it. We all know I'm also a huge Halloween fan so to see the same kind of enjoyment through Addie is the best. I bought Grant's costume in February and Danny and I both had our costumes before the summer was even over. It's no surprise that I am a planner. Do I have next year's theme figured out? You bet I do. It's one that the whole family is looking forward to. Even Danny. If you have even a five minute conversation with either Addie or Hudson you'd see that next year's theme is a no brainer. But before I get too much into that let's get back into the present. This year we are the Incredibles. :) Our family was perfect for it, especially since the order of our kids go girl, boy, boy which is exactly the same as the animated family. Our kids are even about the right height for it so it was perfectly perfect. I'm happy with how it turned out and I can't wait to continue to celebrate this season with these Incredible kids of mine.

Dressups (Jr Ranger, Aviation, Anna and a Soccer Player)
Dress-ups in our house is a very common activity that happens at least once a week with these kids. I also definitely encourage it because I love to see their creative imaginations come out. If Addie wants to wear her Tinker Bell costume to the grocery store then so be it. She actually did when she was two years old and it was adorable. She insisted on leaving the house that way and I didn't say no, even though it was July. Anyway Hudson received a cute jacket from his Aunt Beckie recently and Danny and I aren't sure exactly if it's a pilot jacket or a race car jacket because there are patches sown on that only confuses us more. There's a sown patch on one arm that says "Fighter Pilot" and it even looks like an aviation jacket but then right on the chest is a patch that reads "Race Champion" with a race car flag on it. On the opposite arm is a patch that says "SSS Ranger" and when I looked that up all I could find were sites about a ship so now I really don't know what kind of jacket it is. Whatever kind of jacket it is I do know that it looks so cute on Hudson. While Addie is at school and Grant is napping I like to spend some one on one time with Hudson because as a middle child he doesn't get a lot of that. It's also been feeling really nice outside and it's where he'd rather be playing during any time of the day so while we were out there he gave me some pretty cute smiles. So here's some pictures of my little Jr Ranger and my little Pilot Ship Racer?
Addie got a new Anna costume from Grandma Ferguson for her fifth birthday and she loves it. She wore it for one of our little Sunday walks so I also got some pictures of her in it. She was perfectly in character.
And I of course can't leave out Baby Bean. He was wearing a Utah REAL soccer outfit that I received from my good friend Alyssa when I was pregnant with Hudson. Unfortunately I completely forgot about it until one day I pulled it out and it didn't fit Hudson anymore so he never really got to wear it. Grant on the other hand is a lot smaller than Hudson ever was and has been able to wear this outfit plenty of times. I couldn't resist to get some pictures of him in it because he looked so handsome.
