First Texas Christmas

Our first non Utah Christmas as a family happened and it was honestly pretty great. Do I miss our extended family? Of course! But it was also kind of nice to actually enjoy the entire day with zero plans or places to be. I miss the snow but I also really enjoyed the fact that Addie was able to enjoy her new skates instead of waiting months for the snow and ice to melt like it would have in Utah. This was really nice. We all woke up around 7:30am this morning and everyone went straight to their stockings. We were able to take as long as we wanted with the presents and then with breakfast because we were also kind of stranded. Our van is dead which means we couldn't get to church today but we do have someone from our ward and neighborhood who is going to stop by tomorrow morning to help us out. We took some pictures in our Christmas pjs and then we spent most of the whole day playing outside. That never would have happened before. Hudson is really getting interested in football these days so we played a lot of football as a family as well as soccer at one point. The boys played with their new airplanes. The weather was perfect and we were back and forth on the field throughout the day and it was great. Other than the van it truly was a great Christmas.

Before and after of the Santa cookies and Reindeer treats. We forgot to buy carrots but fortunately did have some corn available.
My favorite pictures to date.
