Starting off the brand new year with a full family fun day. Our Sea World season pass expires this week so we decided to take advantage of today and use our pass despite our fears of it possibly being super busy because of the holiday. It turned out to be great and not as crowded as we thought it would. They have all their Christmas decor up until tomorrow and it was kind of nice to be hearing Christmas music again as they had it playing throughout the park. We knew it was going to be an amazing time when we pulled up and saw how empty the parking lot was compared to other times in the past. It was an awesome day. The weather was also nice. It's supposed to get cold this week starting tomorrow so the fact that we went today on such a calm day was just another blessing to add to our incredible time. Since our passes are expiring I wanted to see what the total cost would be for our family to renew them for 2024. Luckily for us they were having a sale that significantly brought the cost down and then I learned about their teacher and preschool program where kids ages 6 and under and teachers can get in free with a special pass. When I pointed out that we had a five year old who was in kindergarten they still said he qualified for being six or under. That made it so that instead of buying seven passes we only had to get three. We definitely jumped on that deal. We have loved coming to Sea World and Aquatica this past year and we're excited to continue doing so without breaking the bank. The first thing we did after getting our passes for the new year was head to the kid roller coaster. The boys really wanted to do it. I went with them while Danny took the girls to the carousel ride. I took some pictures from the line that I was in with the boys. The girls loved their horsey ride. When the boys and I were done we convinced Addie that she'll have to try it next time because it's really not as scary as she's imagining it to be. After seeing how the boys loved it she's wanting to do it next time. It would be a huge deal for her if she does do it. We then watched the sea lion and otter show and then went straight to the beluga and dolphin show. The kids all did so great and bonus no one got lost haha. We ended our time on the carousel ride and then left to get dinner. The kids get these free passes to CiCi's Pizza Buffet and we've never used them before or been inside until today. It was a really affordable buffet and all the kids ate their good share of food. It's not always that you get a family outing where everything feels perfect but today was one of those days. I'm really excited for 2024. I can't help but feel really good about it.
