We decided to spend our first official day in our new state by exploring Danny's new campus. Dave and Donna also really wanted to see the place Danny will be spending the next one to three years. His new boss Dr. Kristi Daniels was out of town so we weren't able to meet her but we did get to walk around and see Danny's new building. It looks pretty nice. As soon as Danny and I drove into San Marcos we did feel a twinge of regret that we didn't find a home in San Marcos instead but I'm sure given more time we'll feel good about New Braunfels. Everything is just so new and overwhelming at the moment. It does look like it will be a bit of a commute for Danny but maybe that quiet time in the car will be just what he needs before coming home to what can be chaos at times. Anyway, Texas State looks really nice, old, but nice. I think he's really going to like it here.
One bummer thing about today is that we got double parking tickets. When we got back to our cars they both had tickets on them. That wasn't fun to see. Life is just that way sometimes.
