The longest hottest rainiest soccer season has come to an end. ⚽
Addie's team (the Red Panthers) played their last soccer game tonight of the season. It was supposed to end two weeks ago but we've been getting some rain these past couple weekends that have made the fields unplayable so their last makeup game was tonight. Their team ended the game with a score to tie the game 2-2. It was awesome. This team has made such huge improvements from their first game when they lost 0-12 (at least, who knows the actual number of that game). They ended the season with two wins and two ties. The other half were losses but they were near losses so that's good. They really did learn a lot. The coach is hoping to keep the team together for the fall season and Addie really wants to do that as well. We'll have to see if we can swing that financially but I think we might be heading into this fall with more than one kid playing a sport. We'll have to see how that goes. I have had a lot of fun watching Addie learn, grow and play with her team. Even with the humidity and the heat it's been a lot of fun. Go Red Panthers!
