Palmetto State Park

The Olsens invited us to join them for the day at Palmetto State Park. It's only 40 minutes away from us and a place we probably never would have discovered if it wasn't for them. I'm so grateful for the experiences we've been able to have because of them. We had dinner with them earlier this week when they brought it up. I'm glad we said yes. Danny had already mentioned to me that we should take the girls to a new park or do some kind of exploring outside in honor of the girls birthday tomorrow so when the Olsens talked about this new place we were excited. The weather turned out perfect. It wasn't too hot, windy or cold. It was 70° and perfect. We actually got there early so we had a picnic lunch while we waited for them to show up. The kids loved playing on the playground and throwing rocks into the water while we waited.

It turns out a hike in Texas is kind of nice because it's all flat. There's really no complaints with that fact. The kids all did so great and walked the whole way. It would be fun to go back and do that again.

Chelsea found the cutest little Mickey Mouse Cactus.
Of course the only kid to get off the trail and actually get stuck down the only hill for miles . . .
was Hudson Boy. Danny saved him.
We LOVE the Olsens
