End of Swim Lessons (For Now)

Today was the end of the five week course swim lessons. The kids have all improved so much in such a short time. Addie is really close to swimming. I feel like if I had thought ahead and signed them up for back to back lessons she could easily get there. Grant is very comfortable in chest deep water. Grant was in the preschool level and his teacher really emphasized the importance of water safety which is awesome. She encouraged him to keep getting in the water but to stay safe doing it. Hudson's biggest improvement was still that he was able to get in and out of the water. He had missed a class so he only had four classes total but I'm not sure how much would've changed with one class. I had talked to him about being brave and saying 'yes' to his teacher for the last class and he did do that, kind of. He got on the floating device for the first time but only if he could stay on the yellow platform. He refused to get off that but I still love seeing that he's able to play in chest deep water without clinging onto the wall the whole time. Since today was the last day they all got to play in the water playground for the end of class. The boys were a little scared of the dumping water bucket but after got used to it and repeatedly went down the slides. Our vacation is in five weeks and I hope they stay confident yet safe as we prepare for a fun family getaway. I plan on signing them all up for more swim lessons once we're settled in Texas.

This picture shows how close both classes were to each other.
This shows how Hudson would do his own thing while the others were in the water.
But I was still SO proud of this kid. Look at him giving that floatie a try.
